How To Use Air Pump

 Step 1

Find the PSI air pressure range on the side of the tire

  • This will tell you the correct amount of air to fill the tire with

  • If you do not have a gauge, then fill until it is firm to the touch while squeezing both sides of the tire.

Step 2

Remove the cap from the tire valve

  • This is where the air from the pump will enter the tire

  • If you have a Presta valve instead of a Schrader valve, then loosen the valve by unscrewing the tip

Step 3

Connect the bike’s tire valve to the pump’s nozzle and flip the nozzle’s lever up

Step 4

Remove the cap from the tire valve

  • This is where the air from the pump will enter the tire

  • If you have a Presta valve instead of a Schrader valve, then loosen the valve by unscrewing the tip

Step 5

Connect the bike’s tire valve to the pump’s nozzle and flip the nozzle’s lever up

Step 6

Move the pump handle up and down until the desired air pressure in the tire is reached

  • Use both hands on the pump’s handle to fill the tire with air

Step 7

Flip the pump’s nozzle lever down

Step 8

Put on the tire valve’s cap

  • For a Presta valve, first retighten the valve’s tip
